Whether you're brand new to pickleball or have a little experience and want to build confidence, our Kids Academy is the perfect place to learn, improve your game, and meet new people.

Sundays | September 20 – October 25 | 3:30–5:00 PM

Kids Academy is designed to help kids build a strong foundation in pickleball while having fun, making friends, and developing the skills they need to confidently step onto any pickleball court.

No experience is necessary! Kids who are brand new to pickleball are welcome, and kids who already know how to play can join us to continue developing their skills and understanding of the game.

Each 90-minute session includes:

45 Minutes of Instruction
Our coaches focus on the fundamentals of pickleball while keeping learning fun and engaging. Kids will work on:

Basic strokes and pickleball skills
Paddle control and ball contact
Movement, coordination, and court awareness
Understanding the rules and how the game is played
Scoring and basic game strategy
Sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence

45 Minutes of Guided Play
After instruction, kids will put their skills into action through guided games and supervised play. Coaches help kids understand where to stand, how to keep score, how to play with a partner, and how to participate in a real pickleball game.

Our Goal

The goal of Kids Academy isn't just to teach kids how to hit a pickleball. We want them to learn how to actually play the game.

We focus on developing confident players who understand the fundamentals, know the rules, can keep score, understand how to play with others, and have the skills and confidence to jump into a pickup game with kids or adults at pickleball courts around San Antonio.

Whether your child has never held a paddle or already enjoys playing, Kids Academy provides a fun, encouraging environment where they can learn, improve, and build a lifelong love of the sport.

All ages are welcome. No experience necessary.
